Religious intolerance

According to WCBSTV, a Paramus middle school student was sent home Friday after he came to school dressed up as Jesus for Halloween. He was dressed in a robe, completing the look with sandals and a crown of thorns.  However, the school said that his outfit was “disruptive” and they sent him home.  Basically, they didn’t like his outfit so they kicked him out of school for the day.

I’m not physically there, I did not see the outfit (beyond news pictures), nor did I see the costumes of other students.  Based on what I have seen through numerous years at many schools, I’m quite sure that there were other costomes that represented devils and witches.  Any word on anyone wearing those types of outfits being sent home or being disciplined?  Nope.  I didn’t see any!

So it’s OK to go dressed up as a figure of an occult religion, but not as a figure of a Christian religion?  Since when?  I’m guessing that it’s some stupid school official going way beyond the bounds of their responsibilities.  Apparently ANY mention of God, Jesus, the Holy Bible, or Christianity is a big no-no.  No prayer in schools.  No Bible study.  No Christian youth associations. But a Hindu or Muslim group is OK, as is a study group for the Koran.  At least some schools are no longer bending over backwards to accomodate muslims.

School administrators should be kicked in the face by a pissed off mule when they make stupid decisions like this.  This country was founded by Christians, and has been run with a (mostly) religious undertone for many many years.  Now politicians want to remove all traces of Christianity from the country.  These same politicians can stand next to those stupid school administrators.  They are next in line for a hoof to the face.
